Who are we?
The Agro-Environmental Consultancy (BEAE) is a non-profit organization (ASBL) that combines the scientific rigor of a consultancy firm with the social impact of a development organization. Established on April 28, 2025, in Mbanza-Ngungu following its constitutive general assembly, the BEAE was born from the initiative of a multidisciplinary team committed to addressing the climate, environmental, and agricultural challenges facing the Democratic Republic of the Congo. BEAE-ASBL is governed by Law No. 004/2001 of July 20, 2001, laying down general provisions applicable to non-profit organizations and public utility establishments.

🚧 Environmental and social survey of a road paving project Kwilu-Ngongo – Kimpangu
Description: Carry out the environmental and social survey, as well as public consultations relating to the activities of the Kwilu-Ngongo – Kimpangu road paving project, executed by CRBC RDC SARLU in the Kongo Central province.
Results: The populations consulted express an overall positive perception of the paving project, considered as an opportunity for local development. The communities identified several major concerns related to the project implementation, including: management of agricultural land and cultivated areas during works; risks of dust, noise and disruption of living environment; safety of people and property along the road axis; The priority expectations expressed by the populations concern: access to local employment during the works phase; involvement of youth and women in project activities; consideration of basic social infrastructure (water, health, secondary roads); Local authorities and neighboring communities emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue between stakeholders throughout the project duration.

🌽 SIA Project – Support for sustainable cassava production
Description: BEAE ensures technical management, monitoring and support for the installation of a 2-hectare cassava field intended for production and processing.
Results:
- Installation of 2 hectares of cassava
- Technical monitoring provided by BEAE-ASBL
- Field in good vegetative condition
- Production expected: November 2027
🌿 SIA-AGRIPAS-PROJECT-SITE – Cassava, Manihot glaziovii & market gardening crops
1. Cassava
Description: Management and monitoring of the installation of a 1-hectare cassava field intended for production and marketing.
- Installation of 1 hectare of cassava
- Technical monitoring provided by BEAE
- Field in good vegetative condition
- Production expected: February 2027
2. Manihot glaziovii
Description: Management and monitoring of 3 hectares of Manihot glaziovii leaf production for consumption.
Period: December 2025 (ongoing)
- Installation of 3 hectares of Manihot glaziovii leaves
- Technical monitoring provided by BEAE
- Field in good vegetative condition
- Leaf production expected: 1000 kg per month
3. Market gardening crops
Description: Management and monitoring of sweet pepper, eggplant and hot pepper production.
Period: May 2026 (ongoing)
- Installation of nurseries for eggplants, sweet peppers and hot peppers
- Technical monitoring provided by BEAE
- Field in good vegetative condition
- Nursery production expected to plant 50 ares for eggplants, 50 ares for sweet peppers and 50 ares for hot peppers
- Preparation of beds and transplanting carried out by BEAE
🧅 Training of farmers on shallot cultivation techniques
Description: As part of its commitment to strengthening the capacities of agricultural actors, BEAE organized a training mission for farmers from Kisantu and Mbanza-Ngungu on shallot cultivation techniques (Allium fistulosum L.). This activity was fully financed by BEAE's own resources.
The shallot, widely used as a condiment and spice in food in the DRC, represents a crop with high potential for diversifying market garden production and improving the income of agricultural households.
